With great tunes like Blueprint, Attica Blues propelled their label to wider audiences. Read more about their career from Charlie Dark's (aka D'Afro) interview with Mo' Wax http://www.mowaxplease.com/exclusive-an-interview-with-charlie-dark-of-attica-blues/. Stephen has also recently worked with Charlie as part of the British Council People In Your Neighbourhood Project

After winning the bid with innovative production company The Light Surgeons, Stephen worked together with the exceptional sound designer Jude Greenaway to create a specially commissioned track. This track was then performed by USO musicians, and synchronized with a short film at the evening’s finalé. The short film was narrated by Idris Elba (currently starring in the Nelson Mandela biopic – Long Walk To Freedom).

Orchestral Mixtape Project RWD Magazine

Monday 7th October 2013

RWD Magazine hosted an innovative event at Kings Place on October 2nd 2013. RWD: The Orchestral Mixtape Project Live blended the worlds of orchestral and urban contemporary music. Stephen Hussey created unique arrangements for both well known tracks, as well as tracks making their debut over the course of the evening. Urban Soul Orchestra musicians performed on the night with vocalists J2K, Khalia, MC Verse and G FrSH, conducted by Stephen Hussey.

Stephen and The Urban Soul Orchestra have recently been working with producer Adrian Grant & British singer-songwriter Denise Pearson on a variety of different projects.

Stephen arranged the strings and played on Denise's new solo tracks Free Fall and We're Not Over from the former Five Star vocalist's forthcoming album - Imprint.
